What is your philosophy in life? To always work hard for everything, but most importantly to always respect others and strive to be truthful in whatever I say.

What made you join the NBC?
It was straight after school and saw many opportunities at the company because one can decide to venture into broadcasting as a producer, reporter, technician or even as an administrator, the list is quite long.

What do you love most about broadcasting?
The NBC for me serves the mirror which reflects the set up of our society and the problems that they encounter. The best reward is when you highlight what the different sectors of society are facing and solutions are provided as a result of what has been reported. With me there have been many such cases over the years and that’s what keeps me in the industry.

What was your most memorable experience at the NBC? There have been so many, (1) going to Manchester, England for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, so much so because I have been Man-U fan for as long as I can remember. (2) working on the live OB of the 1998 match between Brave Warriors and Bafana Bafana, after being at the NBC for just a few months. (3) last year I was among the recipients of the MISA awards. (4) several overseas trips such as to Malaysia, France and Italy, those trips broaden one’s scope of the world.

What is your message to the public?

To urge them to appreciate the role of the NBC more, because of what it does in the process of nation building, however they should guard against using it (NBC) for the destruction of this relatively young nation. It does not take much to destroy but nation building is lengthy process

What are your future plans?

Want to grow in the trade but take one step at a time and see how far I can go.
