The nbc’s News and Current Affairs Division serves to inform the Namibian nation about local and international newsworthy events in a fair, balanced and factual
manner, by means of Radio and Television news bulletins and Current Affairs Programmes.
We have recently introduced six indigenous language news bulletins for television; this service proved to be very popular. The languages for now are, Damara/Nama, Lozi, Otjiherero, Oshiwambo, Rukavango, and Setswana.
The News and Current Affairs division is made up of 5 sections namely:
- TV (English and Indigeneous) News Desk
- TV Current Affairs ( Open File and Good Morning Namibia)
- Radio News and Current Affairs (World at Six and Update Namibia)
- Political and Economic Affairs Desk (News Journal)
- Assigning and Managing Section
